Objective Interrelations

This is a pastel on paper piece, fairly large. At the time I was still interested in exploring cubism. This isn’t a cubist work since it doesn’t involve the simultaneity of cubism, but it does play with objects and spaces penetrating one another. The objects have no special significance, just interesting shapes. This uses the same blending of pastel colors as Shell did. That is a technique that I found very interesting, but have not since explored. I haven’t yet done any other pastel works, but I intend to. There are problems with this work. Some of the drawing is not quite right and I feel it is a little too chaotic. But I have always liked it.
